Mary Lu turned 7 months old last week! Below is a picture of her wearing the blue jean diapers Big Dad gave her… about 5 months before she was born! Luckily for us, she’s not crawling yet but you can tell from the picture that this milestone is just around the corner.
Some of her latest accomplishments include:
· Eating cheerios, peas, carrots, apples, pears, bananas and avocados.
· Rolling around from tummy to back, although she sometimes gets “stuck” on her tummy and calls for HELP!
· Saying da-da, ma-ma, na-na, and the “t” sound. She also tries to mimic any noise her Daddy makes.
· Watching Duke tennis all afternoon and skipping her nap. (Last weekend, Duke hosted the first rounds of the NCAA tennis tournament. Mary Lu made friends with some Duke fans that we did not know but who were sitting behind us at the tennis match last Friday afternoon. The mother of the family asked all about her, so Eric handed her over to sit in this lady’s lap for a while. Mary Lu jabbered away and was not at all phased by being with someone new. Next thing we knew, it was 4pm and Mary Lu had not even whimpered. She loves being outside and enjoyed all of the activity at the tennis match.)
She is a JOY! Eric commented last night that we had no idea how fun parenthood was going to be! Mary Lu is doing well and we are having the time of our lives!
